This is my story and it's like a like broken record,
and this is killing me and it's cause of my dad.

‘”A story world I love”- Stephanie Mayer

“City of Bones” is the first book in the series of “The Mortal Instruments.” It brings forward an idea of another world, of demon-killers, warlocks and witches, werewolves, vampires…. I could keep on going.

The book is set in the city of New York, where a teenage girl by the name of Clary is in an all-age nightclub, the Pandemonium. She begins seeing people that her friend Simon cannot see, and it throws her into a new world. She sees the people kill a boy, but he vanishes into thin air. Her mother goes missing, and there is a pretty mean monster lurking in her apartment. The world she has stumbled into is an invisible war between ancient demonic forces and the secretive shadow hunters- a war in which she has a fatal role to play. The “City of Bones” is an epic urban fantasy at its demented and delightful best, and I highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a new series of books to read.
